Mariam T. Hopkins, Partner

Mariam Hopkins is a senior partner who has been with the firm since 1991. She has been instrumental in building the firm’s medical malpractice and nursing home defense team and was even named as Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year in medical malpractice law for defendants in 2013, 2016, 2019, 2021 and 2024. Mariam’s time clerking for Judge Stephen Reasoner of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas gave her practical insight in federal practice, and her experience successfully trying even the most difficult cases in Arkansas has made her one of the most sought after civil defense attorneys in the state. She is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American College of Trial Lawyers and The American Inns of Court and has been recognized by her peers and the Arkansas Supreme Court for her service to the legal community.
